About Me
About Me
“Sometimes having someone to talk to who isn't involved in your life
can help you to see things more clearly”
and that's how I became a Counsellor !
I do not judge you or give you my opinion
but I will support you to develop a way to understand your own needs
I am a Humanistic counsellor working from a person centred belief that each person is unique - we all have potential to grow when offered the right conditions ie: honesty, empathy and a genuine skill to work with your issues.
I am qualified to an advanced stage in Psychotherapeutic counselling which allows me to work independently in my own clinical practice and at a senior level within an organisation. I care about people, and have travelled my own path, which I know strengthens my practice.
As a RELATE trained relationship counsellor I work extensively with couples either, separating, divorce or facing difficulties in their relationship.
I have worked with the National Autistic Society and in a Hospice environment counselling terminally ill patients and supporting relatives through their grief.
Part of my working week includes counselling children and young adults, supporting them with parent separation, combined family relationships, anxiety, depression and confidence issues
An Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and registered on the BACP Certificate of Proficiency and you can also find me on the It's good to talk website or The Counselling Directory and Counselling Pages.
I have a current enhanced DBS/CRB certificate to work with adults and children.
Past counselling experience: Counsellor at West Leicestershire MIND, presenting with generic mental health conditions for adults. Working with vulnerable adults at the National Autistic Society
